I hate to have to say this, but Pena Reyna Dental in Progreso, Mex. has completely changed, after I have been going there for over 25 years. I have sent thousands of dollars to them, in business. The last time I went in April of 2019 they said I needed 7 root canals, and caps and posts. I paid well over in the thousands of dollars. My teeth have never felt right, ever since. I was very surprised, because I remember wondering how they finished so fast! I went in, again, around November 2019, because they hurt and one bridge felt loose. The Dentist, Cantu, who worked on me, insisted there was nothing wrong. He took no xrays , which was odd. In February, 2020, I finally went to a dentist, here in Texas, to see what could be wrong, after my loose bridge fell out, and I still had pain, and was unable to floss. They did complete xrays. They found I had only 3 root canals, and one of the 3 was only partially done. It was easy to see, they had scammed me. The USA dentist said I did not need 7 root canals, period. We had sent my husbands brother, there, right after I went, back in April, 1919. He pad pain, and loose caps. He also went to a USA dentist,, and found out he got very little of what he had paid for, at Pena Reyna. He was also charged for 7 root canals, caps and posts. His caps have mostly fallen out, and he has pain. They made a complete mess of his mouth, and it is going to cost a lot of money to fix what they did. We also sent a friend of mine, there, around the same time. She also, went to a dentist here, in the USA, because she was having major pain, and her cap had fallen out. Under the cap she was infected, with pus. They said she had a partial root canal, on a tooth that did not need one, ruining a perfectly good tooth. Since I was there, other people have told me of having $3-5000, or more, in bills, at Pena Reyna. They were surprised because they had never had such high bills, in the past. I have sent them more business than I can count, and they did this to me, and others I have sent to them, in the last year. Needless to say, they have lost myself, my husband, many relatives and friends, who we have sent there, over the years. So embarrassing to have family and friends, scammed, after referring them. I want to warn others to stay away from this place. They are running a scam, now. I have plenty of proof. If I could sue, to get my money I lost back, I would, but being in Mexico, I doubt that is possible. So, I can only warn others to stay away from Pena Reyna Dental. I DO want to say that there ARE still great dentists in Mexico, and I am happy to steer you to some, other than Pena Reyna. Honest dentists, that do excellent work. I hate to leave bad reviews for anyone, but after what they put myself, friends and family through,after trusting them for so long, I do not want anyone else to be cheated, or worse, hurt. I do not know what has happened at Pena Reyna, but they are not, at all, the same as they used to be. I am so disappointed they did this, and want to warn others to be very careful. Insist on seeing proof of the work they tell you, you need. I trusted them for many years. They are no longer the class act they used to be. Shame on you, Ruben Pena (owner).

That Pena Reyna Dental Care saved my life. they have made me a super star now.. every where i go in public i constantly get complaints on my smile. I can not tell u enough how much my life has changed. I still cant believe it. Please if u are on the fence on getting ur super star smile. Get off that fence and go visit this great Dental Office please. i had now over a week now since this post. I still cry when i look in the mirror. not tears of sadness but tears of joy. Pena Reyna Dental Care too u i say thank u over a million times. thanks for giving my life back to me. ill will never be ever to thank u enough . never...
