But, by booking your treatment through Dental Departures, you are sure to get top-quality dental care abroad for a fraction of the price that you would pay in Australia.
We operate a best price guarantee policy to ensure that you get the lowest rates currently available anywhere on the market. We can also help with additional medical insurance, arranged at a preferential rate, through a number of independent insurance providers.
What’s Involved in the All-on-4® treatment concept?
The All-on-4® treatment concept involves a set of four dental implants being inserted directly into the jawbone that support a full bridge of false teeth. The process usually entails three stages, and can take up to 12 months to successfully complete.
The first visit to your dentist will usually involve a complete examination of the mouth and jaw to ascertain the exact condition of your bone structure and identify your individual surgical requirements. This process will probably involve a number of 3D scans and/or x-rays, and will also include a series of impressions that will be used to fabricate your replacement teeth.
During your second visit, you will have four implants inserted directly into your jawbone, two near the back and two at the front. Your dentist will need to make four incisions into your gum to allow four small holes to be drilled into your jawbone to allow the implants to be inserted.
Once the implants have been put in place, your jawbone needs time to integrate the implants securely through a process known as osseointegration. This, essentially, is the natural process of the titanium implants fusing with your jawbone to form a secure foundation for your artificial bridge to be affixed.
