This is why immediate dentures are often used as a temporary solution while patients wait until their mouth is ready for conventional dentures to be positioned.

After an initial consultation, the dentist will determine what type of denture is best for you and start the process by making impressions of your teeth and checking your jaw.

The dentures will then be processed in the laboratory ready for your next visit, during which time the appliance will be placed in your mouth and minor adjustments made.

Your dentist will give you further instructions on how to take care of your dentures. Gently clean your dentures regularly and continue with your daily oral routine by brushing and rinsing with mouthwash. Keep up your routine checkup and regular teeth cleaning back home.
