Professional at-home whitening kits allow you to gently whiten your teeth at home over a period of a few weeks. This is achieved by using custom-built trays into which you squeeze gel. These are then fitted over your teeth, usually at night.

Two appointments with your dentist are normally required – one for impressions of your teeth to be taken (to be sent to the lab), and the second appointment to pick them up and receive a demonstration on how to properly use the kits.
