You’ll undergo an initial consultation and check-up; this is normally free or built into the overall price you’ll pay (rather than having to incur additional charges). This check-up is important as the dentist will be able to evaluate your teeth and oral health, confirming that you don’t have underlying issues that first need to be addressed.

Upon confirmation, the teeth will be professionally cleaned and scaled to remove tartar, thus making the effects more noticeable. With a clean mouth, the brand of bleaching gel is applied to the surface of the teeth. 

To activate the whitening agents in the gel, a laser is shone over the teeth; the mouth is held open using a rubber dam-like device that also helps to protect your gums. 

The treatment may involve two or three 15–20-minute applications or one longer 30–45-minute application. Once the whitening process has been completed, the dentist (or assistant) will clean the gel off your teeth and show you the immediately noticeable results!

It should also be noted that custom-made take-home kits are also available in Tbilisi; this involves moulds being taken of your mouth, with a prescription whitening gel applied every night for one or two weeks.

How Long Will I Need to Stay in Tbilisi for Teeth Whitening?

Your appointment for laser teeth whitening will typically last for one or two hours. In the case of take-home kits, two trips to the dentist will be required, normally a few days apart.

How Do I Get to Tbilisi?

Situated on the edge of Eastern Europe just north of Turkey, the flight time from the UK to Georgia is around five hours.

However, most of the current routes do require one quick stopover en route, meaning the total journey time will be more like 7 or 8 hours.

How Much Do Flights to Tbilisi Cost?

It’s possible to fly to Tbilisi from London for around EUR 200 (GBP 170) return. 

When swapping airlines en route, prices may be one or two hundred more. Check flight comparison sites like Skyscanner and Kayak to see which airlines are currently flying to Tbilisi.
