The first surgical phase involves the placement of the implants and the second restorative phase is where the made-to-measure bridges are attached.

Surgical Phase: Upon arrival in Turkey, your dentist will confirm your suitability by carrying out a series of diagnostic tests. Impressions or 3D images of your mouth will be taken so that your bridges can be made to measure, fitting perfectly upon your return. After the six or 12 implants are embedded into the jaw(s), you are free to head home or relax for a few days in Turkey before your flight. Note: This surgical phase may be carried out using local anaesthesia, sedation or general anaesthesia.

Restorative Phase: This second stage can only be completed when the implants have properly fused with the jawbone, providing a secure and stable base onto which the bridges are attached. The gums also need time to heal, and this generally takes between four and six months. During this time, you will be given a lighter “immediate” denture. This stage is completed when your dentist in Turkey attaches your dental bridges, making any adjustments as necessary before you depart.

Note: If a patient has any remaining teeth, these will need to be extracted either in Turkey or at your local dentist prior to 3 on 6 treatment commencing. Also, as with other implant procedures, the full course of treatment will require two trips to Turkey.
